Memorandum of Understanding Signing with NSTDA in Thailand
On 5th April 2017, Prof. Ohgaki and Dr. Takagi attended Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony, at the Main Hall, Passenger Terminal 2, U-Tapao International Airport, Banchang, Rayong.
Kyoto university and The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) signed MOU on in the Development of Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation (EECi). EECi is a science park development project proposed by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Thailand.
Already, NSTDA and Kyoto university have the strong partnership under the Japan-ASEAN Science, Technology and Innovation Platform: Promotion of Sustainable Development Research (JASTIP), the Memorandum of Cooperation of which was signed on 26 February 2016, to promote sustainable development through research collaboration.
NSTDA and Kyoto U (through cooperation under JASTIP) together agree to enter into this new MOU to collaborate and support the development of EECi through joint activities on research and innovation and human resources development.
In this ceremony, NSTDA signing more than 40 universities, private companies and Government Agencies/Organizations within Thailand,and five foreign Universities/Research Institutes; China Korea,Germany,and Japan.
JASTIP expects significant results through the EECi project to the industrial development not only in Thailand and also the all ASEAN region and to the enhancement of research and innovation capability. In addition to, it will strengthen cooperation between ASEAN and JAPAN.
