Report of the 4th JASTIP Symposium

On 3rd and 4th July, JASTIP organized an event “the Fourth JASTIP Symposium -Biomass to Energy, Chemicals and Functional Materials”
this symposium carry on as one of 130th Anniversary of Japan-Thailand Diplomatic Relations, which was a great success. More than 250 participants attended our symposium.
It’s a great honor to started with the attendance many special guests including Inspector General, Ministry of Science and Technology of Thailand Dr. Natchanapong Vajiravongburi and, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kingdom of Thailand H.E. Shiro Sadoshima.
This symposium tried to disseminate and share information and knowledge with stakeholders through poster presentations, exhibition booths, question and answer, not only unilateral activity reports by oral presentation, to further strengthening and promoting collaborative activities of biorefinery research and research network through JASTIP platform. Finally, 19 researchers give us exciting topics, 18 private companies and funding agencies have exhibited their activities, and product and 49 posters set on the hall.
This symposium was co-organized with National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) Thailand, Indonesian Institute of Science (LIPI). Moreover, supported by AUN/Seed-Net, JST, JSPS, MEXT NEDO and SIP program of Cabinet Office, Government of Japan. Additionally, this symposium was in collaboration with 23 companies.
