Dr. Takagi visited and had meeting with Mr. Atomo Yukimune, adovisor for technology policy, coordinator for technology transfer, international collaboration section office of executive director (Division) of The National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC) in National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), 114 Thailand Science Park (TSP), Phahonyothin Road, Khlong Nueng, Khlong Luang, Pathum Thani 12120, Thailand in 19 Jan. 2017.https://www.mtec.or.th/en/
MTEC was established by the Cabinet Resolution in 1986 as a project under the Office of the Permanent-Secretary of the then Ministry of Science and Energy. Its main objective is to support research and development in metals and materials, which is vital to the expansion of industrial sector and the overall development of the Thiland. In 1991, MTEC became a member of the NSTDA under the Ministry of Science and Technology.
In this meeting, Dr. Takagi invited Mr. Atomo as a discussant in Our Symposium 5 Feb, ask to sharing his particular experience of social implementation and international collaboration. Mr. Atomo have worked almost 16 years for MTEC and NSTDA, especially, to perform services for connecting Thailand academic sector to Japanese private company, as a result about 10 Japanese companies set on research and service center in NSTDA now a day.
Additionally, he made new internship schemes between MTEC and Nagaoka University of Technology in Japan. For the internship, he arranged not only a MTEC research laboratory but also private company in MTEC. That is to say that internship student can study laboratory and work in private company at the same time for 4 month.
We are great appreciated to confirm the collaboration with Mr. Atomo and MTEC.
