内容

日・タイ修好130周年記念事業

シンポジウムタイトル：

“Biomass to Energy, Chemicals and Functional Materials”

開催目的：

JASTIPは、オールジャパン、オールASEANによる持続可能な開発に向けた研究のためのプラットフォームの構築を目指し、カウンターパートナーであるタイ国科学技術庁研究所（NSTDA）、インドネシア科学院(LIPI)、マレーシア日本国際工科院（MJIIT）に共同研究拠点を設置して、各々環境・エネルギー分野、生物資源・生物多様性分野、防災分野の3分野に焦点をあてて日ASEANの多様な関係者とともに共同研究を推進しています。

本シンポジウムでは、環境・エネルギー分野と生物資源・生物多様性分野に跨るバイオリファイナリー研究ついて、活発にASEANとの国際共同研究を行っている研究者に現状・課題についてご紹介頂くと共に、それぞれの具体的なASEANでの取り組みについて活動状況・成果、今後の展望について発表して頂く予定です。また、JASTIPのカウンターパートナーであるタイ国科学技術庁研究所（NSTDA）及びインドネシア科学院（LIPI）におけるバイオリファイナリー研究の紹介、更にはタイ国にてバイオリファイナリーに関連する企業を招いて、事業活動についてご紹介頂く予定です。

バイオリファイナリー研究は、カーボンニュートラルなバイオマス由来の燃料や有用化学製品の製造に関する研究であり、持続可能な開発目標（SDGs）の以下の３目標、７．持続可能な現代的エネルギー（再生可能エネルギー）、13．気候変動対策、15．陸地の持続可能な利用へ、貢献が可能な研究分野です。

口頭発表による一方的な活動報告だけではなく、ポスター発表、展示ブースや質疑応答等を通じて、関係者と双方向での情報発信・共有を行い、JASTIPを通じたバイオリファイナリー研究連携活動がさらに強化・推進されることを目的とします。
